The Scrap Blanket (WIP)
Yarn: Yes.
Hook: I (5.5mm)
Specs: Infinite
Pattern: Freehanded
Thoughts:

Construction: Moss stitch worked in the round. Chain and turning is obnoxious both with these stitches and with all the scrappy, mismatched ends so I'm just letting the spiral happen. I mostly work with worsted weight yarn, so this blanket is consequentially mostly worsted weight. There's some chunky, some light, some fingering, maybe a lace or two in there though. In September 2023 I frogged and restarted it working in the round. Now all the ends are a bit better secured, and the blanket as a whole will always be proportionate (a square.) Since the beginning, larger scraps were cut up and scattered to make it look more chaotic; so it's not true chronological blanket. Also when I restarted it, I added the orange center. It was just too hard to get started with the bernat blanket yarn LOL.

I like this blanket because it actually has a lot of scraps from my grandmother's yarn. It's an archive of now-gone vintage yarns. It's also a diary of yarns I felt drawn to at different points. I can still look at most of the yarns and remember what projects I made with them.

Lessons Learned: This was a bad idea.
