Thoughts: My niece asked for a "pretty purple teddy bear" for her birthday. It's been about a week and she's already over it lol.

I don't like this as much as my previous one, I'm not sure why it came out so much more...lumpy? It's also looser, I guess it's because I was kind of in a rush. I've seen a couple people tweak this pattern to make the head and body one large piece, and honestly if I ever make this bear again I may do that. The neck is my least favorite part on both that I've made. I DID stuff the muzzle of this bear and I like it so much more. (It's worked with a scrap of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in "Aran," btw.)

The dress was worked flat, top down. Garter, stockinette, stockinette with a yo every 4 stitches, garter, 2x2 rib, garter. I think the texture looks pretty cute for completely making it up on the fly. I don't like how the dress looks under the bears arms, it just points out how awkward the connection point can be. I've seen other people make this bear where the neck is almost non-existant, and the arms are connected up there. I can't quite firgure out how it's done but I do like that look a lot.

The eyes and nose are black felt sewn on. The bow is a rectangle of single crochets, with yarn tightly wound and tied+glued around it (plus a bobby pin, so it can be worn in your hair, if you wanted.)
Lessons Learned: Sometimes vibes > technicalities.
