A Hat
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease in "Barley" and "Oatmeal"
Needles: I don't remember!
Specs: Too large for a standard hat
Pattern: Freehanded
Thoughts:

Construction: Worked flat, occasionally decreasing (sporatically to avoid lines) and then sewed together.

This gets its own page because it's the second thing I've knitted, ever. I assume this is a skill that can come with time, but at least for now I still cannot accurately guess the size of things. I just kind of held it up to past hats/my head periodically. I don't really like it but hey, it's my first REAL project. My friend lent me 3 pairs of needles to play around with (since I almost never use chunky yarn) and I don't recall what size I worked with. Knitting with big needles and chunky yarn is fun though, more fun than the crochet equivalent IMO.

Lessons Learned: Transferred skills are helpful but cannot replace experience.
